Arsenal strolled into the international break with a 3-1 home win against Southampton on Saturday as Mikel Arteta’s side sit third in the Premier League.
The Gunners have made it two league wins in a row and continued their unbeaten start to the season as they beat Russell Martin’s side despite going 1-0 down.
The Saints shocked the Emirates after Cameron Archer scored 55 minutes into the game. However, it was quickly followed by a Kai Havertz equaliser. Goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka gave the Gunners the three points putting them on 17 from seven games.
Arsenal now get a two-week break before their next match against Bournemouth which comes on Saturday 19 October.
Their opponents Southampton still look for their first win of the season as they are now sat on one point from the opening seven games and could be in trouble.
Despite their win, the Gunners couldn’t clinch the top spot in the table due to Liverpool‘s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace and Manchester City‘s 3-2 victory against Fulham.
