Arsenal could be without four players for the game against Olympiacos, whereas their opponents could be without two names.
The Gunners turn their attention away from the Premier League this week, as they welcome Greek side Olympiacos to the Emirates on Wednesday night for their second match in the Champions League. They won their opening game 2-0 against Athletic Bilbao in what was an ideal start.
Furthermore, Arsenal’s form is in a good place at the moment, as they come off a 2-1 win against Newcastle in the league, which closed the gap to Liverpool to just two points, putting pressure on the league champions.
Heading into the Olympiacos game, the Gunners have four players on their injury list, one of which could make a return. The Greek side could be without two names too.
Olympiacos injury news
As mentioned, there are two names on the Greek side’s injury list, and both of them have been ruled out of the game at the Emirates on Wednesday.
Firstly, striker Roman Yaremchuck has been ruled out as he continues to deal with a long-term muscle injury that he suffered in August.
Alongside Yaremchuck, midfielder Lorenzo Scipioni has also been ruled out as he is dealing with a bruised knee that he suffered last week. He will be a big loss for the Greek champions.
Arsenal injury news
Meanwhile, the Gunners could be without four players. The first of which is striker Gabriel Jesus, who continues to recover from his ACL injury that he suffered in January. Based on current estimates, he could be looking at a return in January 2026 after the New Year.
Kai Havertz is starting to build up his training according to reports, but he has also been ruled out as he is recovering from the knee injury he suffered in August.
Noni Madueke has also been ruled out with the knee injury that he suffered against Manchester City. He is looking to be out until late November, which is a huge blow for Arteta.
Finally, centre-back Piero Hincapie is a doubt for the game against Olympiacos, as he continues to recover from a knock which has ruled him out of the past three matches. He could return this week, but it is considered as more unlikely than likely.
