5 Things We Learned From Arsenal’s Emphatic 4-1 Win Over Newcastle United

Last night, when Arsenal took on Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners laid down a statement of intent. The demolished the Geordies by a score of 4-1 – Arsenal are still firmly in the title race.

There were plenty of excellent displays on the day, but not a single Arsenal player could have been accused of putting a foot wrong – it was a near-perfect outing for the Gunners.

Arsenal’s goals on the day were scored by Jakub Kiwior, Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz, with the other being turned into Sven Botman’s own net. Meanwhile, Newcastle’s solitary goal was netted by Joe Willock.

The Gunners are still third in the Premier League table, two points behind league leaders Liverpool – but they are doing all they can to keep the pressure on.
