Arsenal face their toughest game of the season so far as they take the trip to the Etihad Stadium to face title rivals Manchester City.
The Gunners have only beaten City once in their past five meetings and will be keen to get one over on the current league leaders in their pursuit of that elusive league title.
They come off the back of a 1-0 win in the North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur where a Gabriel goal and some quality defensive work earned the Gunners three points.
Mikel Arteta will need to see more of the same as the likes of Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino and Riccardo Calafiori will likely not be available to play due to injury.
Manchester City favoured at home over Arsenal
It is no surprise that Manchester City are the favourites to win after winning four games from four and having a certain Erling Haaland who has scored nine goals so far.
According to Oddschecker, Pep Guardiola’s side are backed to win at 5/6 giving them over a 50% chance of getting three points on Sunday. Arsenal are backed at 15/4 and a draw at 19/7.
We can’t look past the fact that the Gunners are missing Martin Odegaard and that they will have to have a near-perfect game defensively to shut out the City attack. So we predict a 3-1 win to the reigning Premier League champions.
