Arsenal Vs Liverpool Team News, Betting Odds And Where To Watch

Arsenal face a top-of-the-table clash this weekend as they host league leaders Liverpool on Sunday.

The Gunners will be desperate not to drop points in two league games in a row after they fell 2-0 to Bournemouth last weekend in what was a disappointing evening for Mikel Arteta’s side.

They come off the back of a midweek Champions League meeting with Shakhtar Donetsk where they narrowly won 1-0 thanks to an own goal from their opposition’s goalkeeper.

Mikel Arteta also could face several injury concerns as the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori are all in doubt for the game.

Furthermore, centre-back William Saliba is suspended due to a red card that he was handed last weekend at the Vitality Stadium against Bournemouth. Click here to see our predicted XI for the Gunners for the game at the Emirates on Sunday.

Arsenal face a Liverpool side who are flying high having won seven of their eight Premier League games with the other being a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in mid-September.

If the Gunners are to win, they would close the gap to just one point behind Arne Slot’s team as the other title rival in Manchester City play against Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal are marginal favourites against the Reds

Despite all the injury concerns, form and Saliba’s red card, Arsenal are still backed by the bookmakers to beat Liverpool on Sunday albeit narrowly.

According to Oddschecker, the Gunners are 8/5 favourites to win which gives them a 38.5% chance to win. Liverpool are backed to win at 2/1 (33.3%) and a draw is backed at 12/5 (29.4%).

We predict a 1-1 draw in a game where Mikel Arteta may be forced to play defensively both due to his squad situation and Liverpool’s fiesty attack.

Where to watch the Gunners host Liverpool

The game kicks off at 4.30 pm on Sunday 27 October at the Emirates Stadium and will be available to watch on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League. It will also be available to NOW TV customers.

However, highlights will be posted on Sky Sports’ YouTube channel after the game and extended highlights will be broadcast at 10.30 pm on BBC One for Match of the Day 2.
