Arsenal vs Ipswich Town Team News, Betting Odds And Where To Watch

Arsenal make the trip to play against Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon, looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

They have won just one of their last three games in the league, and drew 1-1 with Brentford in their last. However, it has been a momentous week in the history of the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta‘s side went to the Bernabeu and beat Real Madrid 2-1 in their Champions League quarter-final second leg, making the tie 5-1 on aggregate, and booking their spot in the semi-finals against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Arsenal boss will hope that his side can carry that momentum to Portman Road when they play against relegation-threatened Ipswich Town this weekend.

Jorginho, Riccardo Calafiori, Kai Havertz, Gabriel, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Jesus are all ruled out for the game due to injuries. However, there are no new injuries or suspensions after the Gunners’ midweek win against Madrid.

Ipswich meanwhile, will be missing at least six players, with the likes of Sammy Szmodics, Jaden Philogene and Kalvin Phillips all ruled out. Omari Hutchinson is a doubt for the game as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury – he is currently being assessed ahead of Sunday.

The Gunners backed heavily against McKenna’s Ipswich

It comes as no surprise that the bookmakers are backing Arsenal to comfortably beat Ipswich on Sunday, as Kieran McKenna’s side are staring down the prospect of relegation to the Championship.

According to Oddschecker, Arsenal are 17/40 favourites to beat Ipswich at Portman Road, which gives them a 70% chance of three points.

Ipswich are backed to win at odds of 8/1, giving them an 11% chance to win the game, and a draw is backed at 4/1 (20%). We predict a 3-1 win for Arteta’s side, who get back to winning ways in the league.
