Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace: Match Preview, Injury News & Betting Odds

Arsenal will take on now managerless Crystal Palace (who fired former Gunners midfielder Patrick Vieira on Friday in a surprising move) in their next Premier League game – can the Gunners maintain their push for the league title?

The Gunners are reeling from their defeat on penalties against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League – as such, Mikel Arteta will be looking for a serious reaction when they take on the Eagles on Sunday. You can likely expect a reaction from Palace as teams usually have a bounce when they lose their manager.

Arsenal have just one player who will definitely miss out on the game against the Eagles – Mohamed Elneny is still recovering from his long-term knee problem.

Additionally, striker Eddie Nketiah is a doubt. He will face a late fitness test to assess his availability – he is currently out with an ankle injury.

In their last Premier League fixture, Arsenal beat fellow London club Fulham by a dominant scoreline of 3-0. It was an impressive display from the Gunners – Fulham are no pushovers, hence their position of 8th in the table, but they offered little resistance as Arsenal cruised to victory.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace were somewhat unfortunate to have lost in their last game, when they played Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. The scores were level until late on, when the Citizens were given a dubious penalty – nevertheless, Erling Haaland buried the spot kick and Palace’s winless run went on.

The last time the two teams met was all the way back in August, where Arsenal beat Palace at Selhurst Park by a score of 2-0. The Gunners’ goals came by the way of Gabriel Martinelli and an own goal from Marc Guehi – can Arsenal do the double over their London rivals?

Arsenal are heavy favourites to gain victory over the Eagles with the bookmakers. According to Oddschecker, Arsenal have accumulative odds of 3/10 to win, while Palace are rated at 25/2. Additionally, the draw has been given odds of 5/1.
