Arsenal V West Ham: Team News And Betting Odds

Arsenal had a comfortable win against Portsmouth in the FA Cup on Monday night. Coming off the back of the disappointing loss to Olympiakos last week, head coach Mikel Arteta would have been happy with the response from his players.

The Gunners face West Ham this weekend, with the Hammers coming off the back of a victory of their own versus Southampton. David Moyes’ side will be a dangerous opponent after nearly pulling off an upset against Liverpool recently as well.

In terms of team news, Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is closing in on a return from a dislocated shoulder. The 22-year-old is unlikely to feature this weekend, but the defender is back in full training.

Another fullback, Cedric Soares, is also on the verge of a comeback with the club confirming that the January signing will be back in training next week following a knee problem. Sead Kolasinac has an injured shoulder and is expected to return in April, while Calum Chambers is out for the season with a knee injury.

West Ham currently have four players on the treatment table. Tomas Soucek is sidelined with a hip problem, while Ryan Fredericks has had surgery on a shoulder injury which will keep him out until mid-April. Andriy Yarmolenko is closing on a return from a thigh issue but Jack Wilshere remains out of contention following a hernia operation.

The bookmakers have made Arsenal the favourites with Unibet pricing them at 4/7 odds-on for the win. A draw is 16/5 with Betfair while a West Ham victory is 5/1 at William Hill.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to Arsenal
