Arsenal V Newcastle – Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Arsenal will want to keep the momentum they gathered before the international break when they face Newcastle on Monday night.

With Manchester United playing Watford on Saturday, the Gunners could find themselves outside of the top four when they kick off at the Emirates, and they will be facing a defensively stubborn Magpies who will be hard to break down.

Rafa Benitez’s side have only lost six of their 15 away games this campaign, and have conceded only 20 on the road. They will look to sit deep and play on the counterattack.

With regards to injuries, Arsenal have doubts over Granit Xhaka, who suffered a groin strain on international break, as well as Aaron Ramsey who has a dead leg.

Hector Bellerin (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle) and Rob Holding (knee) remain out of contention, while Lucas Torreira is still serving a suspension following his red card against Tottenham.

Newcastle are likely to be without Fabian Schar who suffered a serious concussion whilst playing for Switzerland. Captain Jamaal Lascelles has a knee problem and is a slight doubt for Monday. Sean Longstaff (knee) and Rob Elliot (back) are both out for the long term.

The bookies have the Gunners as favourites to come out with a win. They are 2/5 at Coral with a draw 17/4 at Bet 365. A victory for Newcastle is currently 17/2 with the same bookmaker.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Newcastle:

Leno, Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Koscielny, Monreal, Kolasinac, Guendouzi, Xhaka, Ramsey, Aubameyang, Lacazette

Newcastle’s Predicted XI:
