Arsenal will be looking to keep up momentum with a third straight victory against Newcastle on Saturday.
Following a home win against West Ham and an away victory versus Cardiff, Unai Emery’s men will head to St James’ Park at the weekend in a positive frame of mind.
Starting with consecutive defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea wasn’t ideal but the Gunners now have a run of games that they will class as winnable fixtures.
They are still without long-term absentees Laurent Koscielny (Achilles), Sead Kolasinac (knee) and Ainsley Maitland-Niles (leg fracture) while Carl Jenkinson is still out with an ankle problem.
There is better news for Lucas Torreira though. The Uruguayan was pictured with an ice pack on his calf after being substituted during his country’s 4-1 win over Mexico on Saturday. However, he has since taken part in training.
Alex Iwobi is also expected to be fit for the match, despite having to pull out of international duty with Nigeria due to injury.
For Newcastle, they will be without Florian Lejeune (knee), and there are doubts over Jonjo Shelvey (thigh), Matt Ritchie and Kenedy (groin). Ritchie is the likeliest to miss out with the other two having still trained despite the knocks they’ve picked up.
Here’s how we think Arsenal will line up against Newcastle:
Cech
Bellerin, Mustafi, Sokratis, Monreal
Guendouzi, Xhaka, Ramsey
Ozil, Lacazette, Aubameyang
Predicted Score: 1-2 Arsenal
