Arsenal V Manchester United – Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Arsenal will want to recover quickly from their defeat to Rennes in the Europa League last night. The Gunners now have it all to do in the second leg.

In contrast, United will be riding high after their extraordinary comeback in the Champions League. Their win over Paris Saint-Germain was all the more remarkable considering the players who were left out due to injury.

The Gunners will head into the match at the Emirates with no new injury concerns. Rob Holding (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle) and Hector Bellerin (knee) are all out for the long term.

Alexandre Lacazette will return to the matchday squad after missing the game against Rennes due to suspension. Lucas Torreira is suspended after being handed a three-match ban for his sending off against Spurs.

United are still very much in the midst of an injury crisis. Alexis Sanchez is out for up to six weeks with a knee injury, with Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata still sidelined with hamstring problems.

Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic have an outside chance of playing. The Serbian suffered a muscular injury prior to the 0-0 draw against Liverpool and was expected to be out for a couple of weeks. This weekend’s game could come too soon for him. Herrera has been suffering from a hamstring problem.

Anthony Martial should be fit following a groin strain but Eric Bailly and Matteo Darmian are doubts due to knocks. Phil Jones has been out due to illness but could be fit for the weekend. Antonio Valencia is still working his way back to full fitness after a recurrence of an old calf injury.

The bookies have Arsenal as the favourites with Unibet having the Gunners 27/20 to win. A draw is 5/2 at the same bookmaker. A United victory is currently 13/5 with Coral.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Manchester United:
