Arsenal will be looking to pick themselves up after last weekend’s disappointing 1-0 defeat to West Ham.

Unai Emery’s controversial omission of Mesut Ozil from the matchday squad against the Hammers has prompted talk that the German is on his way out of the Emirates.

The playmaker could return to face Chelsea but it’s difficult to predict. Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be missing against the Blues although the Armenian has recovered quicker than expected from a broken metatarsal.

He is now expected to return to full training next week and could face Manchester United in the FA Cup. Rob Holding (knee) and Danny Welbeck (broken ankle) remain out for the long term.

Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has an almost completely fit squad to choose from. Alvaro Morata has recovered from a hamstring problem but was omitted from the team for the 2-1 win over Newcastle despite being fit.

The Spaniard is seemingly close to leaving Stamford Bridge with the player reportedly in talks with Atletico Madrid. Ruben Loftus-Cheek (back) and Marco van Ginkel (knee) remain sidelined.
