Arsenal V Burnley – Team News And Predicted XI Plus Betting Odds

Arsenal will want to recover quickly from their defeat to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

It was a disappointing result for Unai Emery’s side following on from their first loss in 22 games against Southampton last weekend.

However, the Gunners may have to face Burnley without eight first team players. Hector Bellerin has been ruled out for the next two weeks with a calf injury, while Shkodran Mustafi will miss out due to a hamstring problem.

It means Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny will likely line up alongside Sokratis Papastathopoulos in the heart of the defence, with Stephan Lichtsteiner at right-back.

Sead Kolasinac (thigh) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (ankle) are also both doubts for the game at the Emirates tomorrow and will face latest fitness tests.

Emile Smith Rowe (hip) and Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin) are likely to be back in full training before the end of the month, but Rob Holding (knee) and Danny Welbeck (ankle) are out for the season.

For Burnley, manager Sean Dyche has confirmed that Aaron Lennon has had a knee operation and won’t be back for a considerable period of time. Steven Defour is a major doubt with the Belgian midfielder unlikely to be risked due to a knee problem. Robbie Brady (knock) and Johann Gudmundsson (hamstring) are, however, likely to feature at the Emirates.

Stephen Ward is back in training but won’t be playing for a while as he builds up his fitness following a knee injury.

The bookmakers are favouring Arsenal with Sky Bet having them as 1/4 odds-on favourites to get the victory. A draw is 28/5 with Unibet while the longest odds for a Burnley win is 14/1 at BetVictor.

Predicted Arsenal XI To Face Burnley:

Leno, Lichtsteiner, Koscielny, Sokratis, Monreal, Torreira, Xhaka, Iwobi, Ramsey, Aubameyang, Lacazette

Predicted Burnley XI:

Hart, Bardsley, Long, Mee, Tarkowski, Taylor, Gudmundsson, Cork, Westwood, Brady, Wood

Predicted Score – 1-0 to Arsenal
