Arsenal trio nominated for prestigious European award

Arsenal youngsters Reiss Nelson, Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Stephy Mavididi have all been nominated for the prestigious European Golden Boy award.

The Gunners trio were amongst 100 youngsters across the continent nominated for the award whose previous winners include Lionel Messi and Paul Pogba.

PSG star Kylian Mbappe is favourite to land the award this year, however will face competition from Matthis de Ligt, Kai Havertz and Justin Kluivert – whom just joined AS Roma after an impressive two seasons with Ajax.

Mbappe scooped the prestigious prize last season and is widely expected to reclaim the title after an impressive World Cup in which he has scored three goals, including two against Argentina earlier this week in a 4-3 victory for Les Bleus in the last-16.

Twelve other Premier League stars have been nominated for the award, including Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn, as well as Chelsea’s Calum Hudson-Odoi.

A full list of the nominees can be seen below. The winner – which is voted for nay journalists across the globe – will be announced later this month.
