Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Brentford forward Yoane Wissa before the transfer window closes.
The 28-year-old is believed to be a target for the Gunners and Nottingham Forest as both teams look to strengthen their forward line for the second half of the season.
It is fair to say that the pursuit of Wissa has not gone down that well with supporters on X:
He wouldn’t be my first choice but I would take him over not signing anyone

Bruh. Sesko is the best man for our job. We shouldn't bring someone we regret from the market

Arsenal fans were hoping for a more ambitious signing
With Gabriel Jesus set to be sidelined for nine months with an ACL injury and Saka not expected to play again before the end of March after surgery, the club do need to add reinforcements up front.
There was hope that the club may pursue a player like RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko but it appears the finances are not there this month to secure a player of his calibre.
Wissa could be a useful squad player
While he is not a flashy name, the Brentford striker would definitely add something to Arteta’s attack. He has scored 12 goals so far this season, which is the same as Arsenal’s top scorer Kai Havertz.
Wissa can play in multiple positions as well. He would be a short-term solution but a decent one if he can be snapped up for a reasonable price.
