Arsenal transfer target Xavi Simons is expected to be sold for below €70m (£61m), with some even suggesting that his club RB Leipzig would accept a fee in the region of £50m.
The Gunners, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are all reportedly keeping tabs on the Netherlands international, who is keen on moving teams before the end of the summer. Asked whether they would sign Simons for £50m, the majority of supporters on X agreed that it would be an excellent deal:
Would be an awesome signing!!

Xavi Simon’s is the type of talent you take a risk on. I’d be thrilled with either of him or Eze

Personally, I’m picking Xavi Simons. Eze’s Premier League proven, no doubt but with that comes injury risk, which we’ve been trying to avoid. Simons is consistent, dynamic, and would thrive in our system.
Eze is talented, but not always consistent week in, week out.

Simons > Eze. Trust me on this, I know all!

With his age, even though not Prem proven, I would go for him. He has time to learn and assimilate with Rice covering for most games in the first season.

Any move for Simons will depend on outgoings
If Mikel Arteta’s side do get deals over the line for Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, it would take their spending for the summer close to £200m.
It means that a bid for Simons would probably need to be funded by player sales. You can read here how the club could raise £160m by offloading seven members of the first-team squad.
Arsenal may have to decide between Simons and Eze
Even if the Gunners do generate some additional funds, it is unlikely that there will be room in the squad for two new attacking midfielders.
You would think that, if sporting director Andrea Berta and Arteta decide to go after Simons, it would end the club’s interest in Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.
