Arsenal have been linked to signing RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons, so we asked AI to predict how he would do.
The Gunners are looking to add more in terms of wingers this summer, despite already signing Noni Madueke from Chelsea. They have been linked with signing Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, who has a £68m release clause.
However, Eze isn’t the only player linked with a move to the Emirates, as it has also been said that the Gunners are keen on RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, who has also been linked to the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.
Simons made 33 appearances last season for Leipzig, scoring 11 goals, and providing eight assists. He has been subject to transfer interest, and has been tipped to leave the club for around £50m, making him considerably cheaper than Eze.
With that in mind, we asked Chat GPT to predict what a season at Arsenal would look like next year for Simons if he was to join. This is what it said…
Simons signs for Arsenal – Simulated
Assuming that Arsenal are able to get a deal done for the Dutch international, this is what his year could look like next year as a Gunner.
Firstly, AI predicted that Simons would make a total of 47 appearances for Mikel Arteta in his first season, scoring 14 goals, and providing 13 assists in all competitions. It suggested that he would have a passing accuracy of over 85%, and that he would singlehandedly create over 20 big chances all year.
AI also suggested that the addition of Simons would help Arsenal win their first trophy since 2020, as it predicted that they would win the FA Cup, with a 2-1 win over Man United in the final; Simons would get the winning assist.
It predicted a Champions League semi-final appearance for the Gunners too, and much like the past few years, a second-placed finish in the Premier League. Add these predictions onto the likely addition of Viktor Gyokeres, and Simons could help propel Arsenal into a new stratosphere next year.
