Arsenal are set to try and retain as much of their squad as they can in order to keep squad depth amid their Premier League title fight with Liverpool. 

The Gunners are currently six points behind league leaders Liverpool and aiming to gain ground as they try to win their first league title since 2003/04 when they were invincible under Arsene Wenger.

Mikel Arteta may decide that he wants to bring in a couple of players during the January transfer window, as he aims to improve his squad.

The Gunners have been linked to several strikers including Juventus man Dusan Vlahovic, Newcastle’s Alexander Isak and Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres.

However, to bring any of these world-class goal scorers in, the Gunners may have to offload a couple of players in order to generate the funds to spend big.
