Journalist Reveals Arsenal Are “Considering Signing “£50M La Liga Ace THIS MONTH And Player’ Is “Open” To Move

Arsenal are interested in snapping up Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo during the January transfer window, according to journalist Marco Molla.

Writing on his X account, Molla said that the Gunners are “considering signing” the Japanese international, with the player “open” to joining a Premier League team:

Kubo does have a release clause in his contract that would make a deal easier to negotiate. He can be signed if Arsenal are willing to match the €60m (£50m) buyout fee.

Arsenal want cover for Saka

The 23-year-old is a left-footed right winger so it is clear that the Gunners have targeted him as a direct replacement for Bukayo Saka.

If new reports are accurate that the England international could be sidelined until April, then it makes sense that Mikel Arteta’s side would step up their plans to sign someone like Kubo.

They need to maintain the pressure on Liverpool in the title race and a new addition to the front three would greatly help with that.

Kubo is not the only winger on the club’s radar

It has been reported that Arsenal are also weighing up whether to trigger the release clause of another La Liga player, Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.

Other wingers have been linked, including Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane, and it remains to be seen whether Kubo is the top target.

His record this season is pretty mediocre, having scored 3 goals and provided 0 assists in 18 league appearances. However, he is a precocious talent who could offer the Gunners additional firepower in attack.
