‘Sell ASAP!!!’ ‘Keep And Play Him In Midfield’ Fans Discuss Whether Arsenal Should Sell Defender For £39M

Arsenal will demand as much as €45m (£39m) for Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish rumour mongers claim that both Bayern Munich and Newcastle are weighing up approaches for the Ukrainian international.

Asked whether they would sell Zinchenko if they receive such a fee, there was a mixed reaction from fans on X. Most were in favour of offloading the defender, but there is a sizeable minority keen on retaining his services:

Arsenal will need to make some tough decisions in the transfer market

In an ideal world, manager Mikel Arteta would probably like to keep Zinchenko in his squad. He can provide a unique outlet playing as an inverted fullback.

However, the Gunners don’t have much room for manoeuvre due to Financial Fair Play so they will have to cut their cloth accordingly by selling non-essential personnel.

Zinchenko is no longer a key first-team player

With Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jakub Kiwior having been given more game time than the Ukrainian at left-back in recent months, he has somewhat slipped down the pecking order.

Considering that Jurrien Timber will also soon be back in the fold after recovering from a serious knee injury, there is an argument to say that Arteta could manage without Zinchenko. We shall have to wait and see though whether any team is tempted to buy the former Manchester City star at the reported asking price.
