Arsenal Could Perform Eze Tottenham Trick Again As They Eye Up £61m Star Who Cesc Fabregas Called “Special”

Arsenal are reportedly interested in a midfielder that Tottenham wanted to sign in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners are currently top of the Premier League table, three points clear of Man City and four points clear of Liverpool. They are also three from three in the Champions League with a recent 4-0 win against Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal will be looking ahead to the January transfer window in order to further solidify Mikel Arteta‘s squad and help them cruise to their first Premier League title since the 2003/04 season, and potentially their first Champions League trophy.

In the summer, Arsenal managed to hijack a Tottenham transfer for Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, as they signed the England international for £68m. Reports are now saying that the Gunners could do the same again in January.

Arsenal could hijack Spurs deal for Nico Paz

Tottenham were heavily linked with Como midfielder Nico Paz in the summer transfer window, but the Lilywhites reportedly saw a £61m bid rejected for the 21-year-old, and he continued to perform for Como. He has made seven Serie A appearances so far this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists.

Included in a report by 3AddedMinutes, Arsenal are now reportedly eyeing up a move for Paz, and so could see themselves yet again, beat Tottenham to one of their main transfer targets.

The report says that Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid are also reportedly keen on the Spanish starlet, and so it could be up to Paz on where he goes.

Gunners legend Fabregas loves Nico Paz

If Arsenal do make a move for the 21-year-old, he would be able to ask his manager Cesc Fabregas about what a move to the Emirates could look like, as the Spanish manager spent eight years playing for the Gunners.

Fabregas is a huge fan of Paz, and has spoken very highly of him in the past, which shows just how talented the 21-year-old is. Speaking to Football Italia, he said: “He’s a special player and he must be free to express himself. We must not make him robotic.

“Nico is a champion. I’m very calm about him and his future. He can get to wherever he wants if he carries on with this hunger and humility. The talent and physicality are there.”
