Arsenal Eye Summer Swoop For Ex-Everton Flop Who Has Scored 19 Goals In 29 Games This Season

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Fiorentina striker Moises Kean, according to reports in the Italian media.

The 24-year-old has been in excellent form this season, having scored 19 times in 29 appearances for La Viola.

Tuttosport claim that the Gunners are legitimate contenders to sign Kean, even though they are also interested in RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres.

One of the key factors that may influence the club going after the Italian international is the fact that Alessandro Lucci is his agent.

They have a good relationship with Lucci, having negotiated with him last summer when Riccardo Calafiori made the move from Bologna.

Kean has a release clause

Another detail that would encourage Arsenal to make an offer for Kean is the fact that he has a buyout fee in his contract with Fiorentina.

It is believed to be worth €50m (£41.7m) and that would make him a cheaper option than either Sesko or Gyokeres.

The existence of Kean’s release clause has also reportedly attracted other suitors, with Tottenham and Aston Villa having considered the forward as a target too.

Arsenal will be wary about the player’s past

Kean should be a familiar name to those who follow the Premier League, with the Italian having had a spell at Everton.

The Toffees signed the striker for €27.5m in the summer of 2019 but he only found the back of the net 4 times in 39 appearances.

Kean spent most of his four years at Goodison Park out on loan at Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus before he joined the latter on a permanent basis for €30m before the start of last season. Within a year, he had made the move to Florence where he has begun to thrive as a regular starter.
