Arsenal are keeping very close tabs on Radnicki 1923 winger Matija Gluscevic, according to FussballEuropa.com.
The German website claims that the Gunners are “eyeing” up a potential bid for the Serbian Under 21 international.
It is believed that a scout travelled “especially” to see Gluscevic in action earlier this month when Radnicki played Red Star Belgrade in a league game.
The 19-year-old’s team suffered a 3-2 defeat, but the player did provide an assist with a cross for teammate Vasilije Djuric to score Radnicki’s first goal.
Arsenal are one of a number of clubs pursuing Gluscevic
FussballEuropa.com report that there are at least two other teams interested in the teenager, with Real Betis and Sevilla having sent scouts to watch him play too.
Gluscevic is not expected to cost a great deal of money, with Radnicki set to demand just €700,000 (£595,000) for his signature. He could turn out to be a bargain purchase.
The player himself has recently stated that he would be open to leaving Serbia and continuing his career abroad:
“There is simply a different level there [outside of Serbia] and I would progress quickly. But first I want to do my job and then we will see what happens.”
What do fans need to know about Gluscevic?
The Serbian is known for his pace, but he has also begun to improve the technical side of his game, which could well take him to the next level.
Gluscevic is a left winger by trade, preferring to cut in onto his stronger right foot into central positions. However, he has been deployed right across the front three as well.
The forward was picked in Serbia’s provisional squad for the European Championships next month, although he wasn’t included in the final 26-man list. Even so, it does show you how highly rated the youngster is
