Wolves will demand a fee of around £80m for Arsenal transfer target Matheus Cunha, according to reports.
The Brazilian’s situation is being monitored by the Gunners but journalist Ben Jacobs says Mikel Arteta’s side will have to pay through the nose to secure his services this month.
Cunha has been in great form for Wolves this season but supporters on X don’t believe their club should pay his current asking price:
Yeah nobody is paying that. Close this case and let's move on to the next.

I like Cunha but not for that much. Get Gyokeres if we have that much money to spend this window

No thanks. Keep him. He’s not even prolific

Cunha seems to be agitating for a move
Speaking after Wolves’ 3-1 defeat to Chelsea on Monday night, head coach Vitor Pereira suggested that he wasn’t happy with the player’s attitude during the game.
In the build-up to the fixture, it was also reported that Cunha had delayed the decision to sign a new contract.
The 25-year-old looked set to put pen to paper on an extension a couple of weeks ago but things have gone very quiet since then.
Will Arsenal spend heavily on a striker this month?
Arteta spoke out after the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa at the weekend, stating his squad is “short” of numbers. There were three teenagers on the bench for that match.
With Gabriel Jesus out for the rest of the season and Bukayo Saka unavailable for another couple of months at the very least, the calls for a new forward to be brought in have got louder and louder.
Spending £80m on Cunha, though, may be beyond the club’s means but that doesn’t mean a new addition won’t be brought in before the transfer window closes.
