Arsenal have made an enquiry for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, according to reports.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia (quotes via Sport Witness), journalist Massimo Marianella said that the Gunners had been in touch about signing the England international:
“It seems that Arsenal have made a phone call to Manchester United for Rashford. The club has valued him at €25m (£21m).”
While some supporters on X believe recruiting Rashford would be a good idea, the majority feel it would be the wrong decision to go after him:
If this is true …Arteta then looking for panic signing again , we are in 2025 and we are looking for Rashford..

Please be true. People just don’t understand how good he can be, under the right manager he’ll click

Damn we don’t need him

What does Arteta always want to prove by signing players who are out of favour from other clubs 🤔 🙄

Let’s hope this isn’t true at all.

Honestly I prefer this to not signing anyone at all

This move would signify a lack of ambition. Hope it doesn’t happen

Rashford could be worth a gamble at £21m
Marianella’s estimated asking price is a bit low but it must be pointed out that United are currently only fielding offers from teams who want him on loan.
With the Red Devils up against it financially due to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules, they could be open to selling Rashford for a bargain fee. It may simply be the case of Arsenal being opportunistic.
If he is available for £21m, some may feel it is worth taking a risk on the winger.
Arsenal will have plenty of competition for the player
Other teams are said to be holding talks with Rashford and his representatives. AC Milan, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are the three sides who have formally registered their interest.
West Ham have also been mentioned as a potential suitor but there is a feeling that the player would prefer to move abroad. Whether Arsenal’s interest would change his mind, though, we shall have to wait and see.
