Arsenal, Man United and Chelsea transfer target Victor Osimhen has said he’s happy at Galatasaray amid vast interest in him.
Osimhen is on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray from Napoli, where he wanted to move from, however he couldn’t find a permanent deal, so opted for a loan to Turkey.
Since moving, the Nigerian international has been superb for the Turkish side, scoring 14 goals in 19 league games, and keeping his status as one of the best goal-scorers in the European leagues.
However, Arsenal have previously been linked to him alongside the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea, and he is set to have a £62m release clause in the summer transfer window, which anyone could pay.
Osimhen enjoying his time at Galatasary
However, reported in the Metro, Osimhen said in a recent interview when asked about his future: “To be honest I don’t know.
“You know the last few months, nobody ever thought I would come here, I never believed I would come to Galatasaray despite how big they are. I live for the moment. I don’t know what will happen in the summer, but I want everybody to understand that I really love this club.
“I love the fans, I love the President, I love everyone associated with the club. It’s really a big deal to be here and I’m really enjoying my time here.”
If Osimhen is keen to stay at Galatasaray, he could try and force a summer transfer to join the Turkish side regardless of the interest from Premier League teams.
Arsenal could move for Osimhen alternatives
Arsenal look set to sign a striker in the summer transfer window, as Arteta has been left short of attacking options after injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
However, if Osimhen decides to stay at Galatasaray, Arsenal may have to look at other targets, most notably Newcastle’s Alexander Isak.
The Sweden international could be set to leave the club if they fail to finish in a Champions League spot, however he would likely cost upwards of £100 million.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko remains a target for Arsenal, as he will likely cost around £70 million. The Slovenian attacker has netted 17 goals in all competitions for Leipzig this season.
