Arsenal And Tottenham Target The Same THREE Players As They Send Scouts To ‘Watch’ Game Last Weekend

Arenal and Tottenham are keeping tabs on Red Bull Salzburg trio Karim Konate, Oscar Gloukh and Lucas-Gourna-Douath, according to 90min.com.

The website claims that the two North London rivals sent scouts to “watch” the three players when Salzburg took on WSG Tirol last Saturday.

Konate would have stood out in that match, as the Ivorian international scored both goals in a 2-0 win, but it is believed that the performances of Gloukh (who was substituted at half-time) and Gourna-Douath were also being assessed.

90min.com report that West Ham and Crystal Palace have also been monitoring Konate, while Gourna-Douath has plenty of admirers on the continent.

What do Arsenal fans need to know about the three Salzburg starlets?

Konate started his career in his homeland before Salzburg paid €3.5m to sign him from ASEC Mimosas last year. He was subsequently sent out on a six-month loan to feeder club FC Liefering.

After scoring 15 times in just 18 appearances, the striker was brought back to Salzburg in January, playing 9 games in the second half of last season and scoring 3 goals. This campaign, he has already scored 10.

Gloukh is an Israeli international who arrived from Maccabi Tel Aviv at the start of the year. The attacking midfielder has made less of an impact than Konate so far but he did impress for his country at the European U21 Championships back in June, prompting links to Premier League clubs.

Gourna-Douath is the most high-profile of the trio, with Salzburg having paid a national record fee of €15m to bring him from Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2022. He is a defensive midfielder, having been capped by France at Under 21 level. Many believe that he could have a very big future ahead of him.
