Arsenal And Liverpool Competing For Signature Of £33M-Rated Serie A Wonderkid

Arsenal and Liverpool have both been linked to Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz according to new reports.

The Gunners are looking to add attackers following the recent injury struggles where talisman Bukayo Saka spent time on the sidelines without a direct replacement in place for the England international.

According to a report by Caught Offside, both Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on making a move for Juventus youngster Kenan Yildiz who signed a new contract in Turin this season.

The 19-year-old attacker is under contract until 2029 at Juventus, however, Arsenal have identified Yildiz as a player that can provide long-term depth both on the wing and in attacking midfield.

Whereas Liverpool views the 19-year-old as a future replacement for Mo Salah whose contract expires at the end of this season with negotiations ongoing over his future at Anfield.

Yildiz has made nine league appearances so far this season for Juventus, scoring two goals and two assists as he continues to develop into a star in the Serie A.

The Turkish international is roughly valued at around £33 million but likely due to his high potential and long-term contract, Juventus may set a high price-tag for the attacker.

Arsenal want to take some heat off Bukayo Saka

Most of the reports surrounding Arsenal transfer news at the moment are all indicative of the fact that Mikel Arteta wants to add depth in attack to take some heat off Bukayo Saka.

The England international has featured heavily for Arsenal and was only rested during the period where he was recovering from a leg injury that he suffered in the October international break.

The Gunners have also been linked to attackers Bryan Mbuemo and Ferran Torres over the past week, two players that can also play in a similar position to Bukayo Saka.

How would Kenan Yildiz fit in at the Emirates?

19-year-old attacker Yildiz is a pacey and skillfull player who likes to take players on and help Juventus create chances in and around the box.

He came through the ranks at Bayern Munich’s academy playing for them at U17s and U19s levels before transferring to Turin in 2022 on a free transfer.

He broke into the first team in November 2023 and has since made 44 appearances for Juventus, scoring seven goals and assisting three times.
