Arsenal ‘Ready’ To Make Move For Turkish Wonderkid As They Try To Secure Signing Ahead Of Chelsea And United

Arsenal are keen to step up their interest in Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, according to reports in the Italian media.

Bianconera News claim that the Gunners are “ready” to begin talks with the Turkish international’s entourage.

Other Premier League teams, including Chelsea and Manchester United, have weighed up their own moves for Yildiz.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side are believed to be the latest to make a concerted effort to sign the 20-year-old, who has had a good start to the season for Juve.

Yildiz has caught the eye with his displays

The attacking midfielder has been one of Juventus’s top performers over the first month of the campaign, having scored 2 goals and provided 4 assists in 5 appearances.

Yildiz has impressed in both domestic and European matches, having scored a goal and contributed an assist against both Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund in the space of a few days.

Bianconeri boss Igor Tudor has chosen to deploy him as a No.10, rather than out on the wing, and the change has already paid dividends.

Arsenal will have to persuade the player

While the Gunners are clearly keen on securing Yildiz’s signature, Bianconera News claim that, up until now, the player’s representatives have “rejected” all advances from other clubs.

Juventus are reportedly looking to tie him down to a new contract. He only signed a 5-year extension at the start of last season, but his team are hoping to ward off interest from the Premier League with a substantial pay rise.

General manager Damien Comolli is willing to propose a deal to Yildiz which would increase his salary to around €6m (£5.24m) a year. Even so, that is still only £100,000 a week, and Arsenal would easily be able to offer him more than that if he decides he wants to leave Turin.
