Arsenal transfer target Jorrel Hato will not have a release clause in his new contract with Ajax, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 17-year-old is reportedly being scouted by the Gunners and a number of other clubs but Romano says Mikel Arteta’s side won’t be able to get him on the cheap when he signs on to fresh terms:
🚨🔴⚪️ Ajax are closing in on new deal for 2006 born top talent centre back Jorrel Hato.
There are still details to clarify then it will be done — until 2028, as per @EspnNL.

Hato is an extremely promising centre-back, who has established himself in Ajax’s first team despite his young age.
Since making his senior debut in the Dutch Cup against Den Bosch at the start of 2023, he has gone on to make 46 appearances in all competitions for the Eredivisie club.
Will Arsenal still make a move for Hato this summer?
Although the new contract may make negotiations more difficult, it is unlikely that it will stop the Gunners from making a bid for the teenager.
Hato has already demonstrated in his fledgling career that he has the potential to be a top-class centre-half and if Arsenal don’t snap him up, another team will make a move for the defender sooner rather than later.
Hato has earned rave reviews from a Premier League and Champions League winner
Ex-Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson moved to Ajax from Al-Ettifaq during the January transfer window and, despite only being with his new team for a brief period of time, he has already been impressed with Hato.
Speaking last week, Henderson praised the Netherlands international’s maturity, labelling him a “fantastic player.” You can read the full quotes here.
