1) Jacquet has limited experience at senior level
One thing that does stand out about the centre-back is his lack of minutes for Rennes’ first team, despite coming through the club’s academy.
Jacquet spent a year on loan at Clermont, with his time there spanning the second half of the 2023/24 campaign and the first half of last season after their relegation to Ligue Two.
He then returned to Rennes in January and started 11 times in the league, with his performances clearly attracting the attention of Arsenal scouts.
In total, Jacquet has played just 18 games in top-flight football for both Clermont and Rennes.
