Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior is not interested in joining Bologna in part exchange for Riccardo Calafiori, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Serie A side are believed to have asked for the Polish international in negotiations but the player is not keen on being part of the deal.
While fans on X understand why Kiwior wouldn’t want to move to Bologna, they are getting increasingly frustrated about the lack of movement in the Calafiori transfer:
I don’t blame him, it would be a step down for him in his career

Not keen on the move? It’s a league he’s familiar with and a club that’s in the champions league, all of a sudden he’s feeling like a superstar.

What is holding up the Calafiori deal?
It is believed that Bologna are trying to get as much as possible for their player, as they have to give 50% away to his previous club FC Basel due to a sell-on clause.
They are currently holding out for around €50m (£42m) which is reportedly a lot more than the Gunners are willing to pay.
The London club were hoping to include several performance-related add-ons in their offer to bridge the gap but, so far, a breakthrough has not been found.
Arsenal will offload Kiwior
Even though the defender has refused a switch to Bologna, it’s likely that the 24-year-old will be on the move before the transfer window shuts.
The Gunners are open to loaning him out, as long as there is an obligation to buy him at the end of the season.
