‘Couldn’t Be More Perfect’ ‘Take My Money!’ Fans React As Arsenal Join PL Rivals In £60M Transfer Battle

Arsenal will be in the mix to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney during the January transfer window, according to The Mirror.

The English tabloid claims that the Gunners will join the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham in pursuing the England international, who could cost in the region of £60m.

Most fans on X are keen for the club to sign Toney, who would offer something different in attack:

Arsenal want to add a new dimension up front

With Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah being similar types of striker, it appears that the Gunners are pursuing Toney as they look at recruiting a no.9 with more physical presence.

The 28-year-old is certainly a handful in the air and it may well be one of the key reasons that Mikel Arteta’s side are considering him as an option.

Toney would give Arsenal the cutting edge they are looking for

Although scoring goals hasn’t exactly been a problem for the Gunners since the start of last season, the absence of a 20-goal striker could really hurt their title ambitions.

Toney is someone who knows where the back of the net is, having scored 20 times in the league for Brentford last campaign, and you would back him to be even more prolific in a team like Arsenal, who create plenty of chances.
