Arsenal Ready To Accept Offers For £45m Ex-Man City Star Who Was Linked To Tottenham

Arsenal are reportedly ready to accept offers for striker Gabriel Jesus in the January transfer window.

The Gunners are preparing for a return to the Premier League after they won their first Champions League game of the season against Athletic Bilbao. They won 2-0 thanks to goals from Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his Arsenal side can continue their form, and win against rivals Manchester City on Sunday, in what should be a blockbuster clash at the Emirates.

However, one player who won’t be featuring is former Man City striker Gabriel Jesus, who is still out with an ACL injury that he suffered in January, just as he was coming into good form. Jesus could still miss the remainder of 2025, and so he wasn’t named in Arteta’s Champions League squad.

Since his injury, Arsenal have added Viktor Gyokeres, meaning that Jesus is now the third-choice striker behind Gyokeres and Havertz. This has sparked rumours of a potential exit, and according to former Premier League scout Mick Brown, this could come in January.

Brown told Football Insider: “I expect they’ll be wanting to accept offers in January, because Arteta doesn’t see him as part of his plans and he’s going to want to play regular football.

“I hear they’re ready to let him go and I expect he’ll make that move in January if the right offer comes in for him.”

Who could Gabriel Jesus leave Arsenal for?

There hasn’t been much interest in Jesus for obvious reasons due to his injury. But, the Brazilian striker still has plenty left to give, and at 28, could be a very useful attacking asset for someone in the Premier League.

In the summer, there were reports linking Jesus with a shock move to join Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham Hotspur. So, the Gunners’ rivals could again come in for Jesus if he remains a target.

Arsenal signed the striker from man City for £45m in 2022, and since then, he has made 96 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 26 goals, and providing 20 goals. His market value has tumbled down to around £28m due to his injury, but he could still be a solid Premier League striker for the right club.
