FAN POLL – 45% Of Arsenal Fans Agree That The Gunners Should Sign £70M Striker Before Transfer Deadline

45% of Arsenal fans who responded to our poll on social media agreed that the Gunners should sign RB Leipzig Benjamin Sesko.

Arsenal have been linked to signing Sesko both in the summer transfer window, and this winter. Reports emerged suggesting that they had a £70m bid lined up for the Slovenian striker, but they are now expected to sign him in the summer.

Sesko, 21, has scored 14 goals for the Bundesliga side this season, which has attracted the attention of Arsenal who have been trying to sign a striker to replace Gabriel Jesus who suffered an ACL injury.

Sourced from a Goonernews.com poll that we shared on X last week, Arsenal fans voted between Sesko, Ollie Watkins, Mathys Tel and Marcus Rashford over who they should sign before deadline day.

Sesko received the most votes with a 45% share. Watkins was in second place, attracting 35.5% of the vote. The Gunners saw a £60m bid rejected for the England international over the weekend.

Mathys Tel received 15.5% of the vote; he is expected to join Tottenham Hotspur tonight after making a surprising U-turn – he initially rejected a move to Spurs. Rashford received just 4.1% of the vote, he had been linked to Arsenal, but he’s now completed a loan move to Aston Villa.

Arsenal could sign Sesko in the summer transfer window

Sesko won’t be moving from Leipzig during the last few hours of the January transfer window, so the Gunners will have to target him in the summer now.

His contract has a clause in it which means that he could leave Leipzig for a fee of £60m in the summer, something that Arsenal could likely do.

He would finally provide the Gunners with a target man striker, something that Mikel Arteta‘s side have been looking to get for a long period of time.
