The Arsenal And West Ham Swap Deal That Would See The Gunners Land Declan Rice’s Best Mate

Arsenal could see a swap deal emerge as West Ham are reportedly interested in one of their midfielders.

The Gunners have a few players who they are looking to offload this summer, many of which spent last year away on loan. One such name is Fabio Viera, who spent last season on loan at Portuguese side Porto, where he had a successful year.

Viera made 42 appearances last season for Porto, scoring five goals, and providing six assists in all competitions. He played a playmaker role for the Portuguese side, and showed that he remains a very capable talent.

However, since joining Arsenal in 2022, he has made just 49 appearances, scoring three goals, and providing 10 assists. Viera is a contender to leave this summer, and Journalist Ben Jacobs is reporting that Premier League rivals West Ham want to sign him.

Jacobs says that the Hammers have added Viera to their list of midfielders they want to sign, there has been no approach yet, but it is understood they hold a serious interest in the 25-year-old.

Arsenal could swap Viera for Bowen

It is not understood how much the Gunners would be willing to sell Viera for at this stage, however, the midfielder is expected to command a market value of between £20m and £30m, which is a significant chunk of funds for Arsenal.

However, seeing as the Gunners are looking to add one more attacker, they could instead offer Viera in a package in order to get West Ham and England star Jarrod Bowen.

Bowen made 34 appearances in the Premier League last year, scoring 13 goals, and 10 assists, he would be a real difference-maker. Furthermore, Bowen is very close friends with Declan Rice, which could produce a special midfield partnership.

He has an estimated market value of just £35m according to TransferMarkt, so Arsenal could offer Viera plus £10m, and maybe sign the 28-year-old in a deal that would be considered a superb piece of business for Arsenal.
