Arsenal sporting director Edu has decided to leave the Emirates after over four years in the role for the Gunners.
The former Arsenal midfielder took on the job of sporting director and has been pivotal in the resurgence that Mikel Arteta’s side have produced over the past few seasons.
Many of the key signings under Arteta have been influenced by Edu to create a squad that has become capable of challenging Manchester City to the Premier League title.
Reports have suggested that Edu could be on the move to join Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis’ football group who owns several clubs including Forest and Greek side Olympiacos.
The Reds have been the suprise pakcage of the league so far this season as after 10 games, they sit third and one point ahead of the Gunners who lost against Newcastle United this past weekend.
