Arsenal target Douglas Luiz could be sold by Aston Villa, according to talkSPORT.
The British radio station claims that the Villans may need to balance the books in order to stay within the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules.
For that reason, Unai Emery’s side could be willing to part ways with Luiz, and fans on X believe the Gunners should make a move for the Brazilian international:
This is happening.

Such a common sense decision. He would balance perfectly with Declan!

Luiz is a long-term target for Arsenal
Mikel Arteta’s team had no less than three bids rejected for the midfielder during the 2022 summer transfer window. It is therefore safe to assume that the club would be still interested in securing his services.
Of course, a lot will depend on the asking price. Reports earlier this year claimed that Villa could hold out for a fee close to £100m. Such a price would have put off Arsenal from making an approach.
However, it has been suggested more recently that Luiz could be signed for around half that figure, and that may bring the Gunners back to the negotiating table.
Another midfielder has dropped off the radar
The news about Luiz coincides with claims that Arsenal have cooled their interest in Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.
Even though the Spanish international does have a €60m (£51m) release clause in his contract, it is believed that the Gunners are no longer keen on pursuing the player.
