Liverpool’s move to try and sign Alexander Isak could determine whether Arsenal win the Premier League or not.
The Gunners are working to improve their squad this summer, and it is fair to say that their transfer business is going well. Mikel Arteta has already addressed centre-midfield adding Martin Zubimendi to bolster in the middle of the park.
Arsenal have also added more winger depth in the form of Noni Madueke, and are also looking to sign another winger to challenge Gabriel Martinelli on the left-hand side. The two most likely options are Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze or Real Madrid’s Rodrygo.
Finally, what everyone has been saying is the final piece of the puzzle, a striker. Viktor Gyokeres looks set to join the Gunners this summer, and the signing of Gyokeres could be what bridges the gap to Liverpool and gets Arsenal a league title. But the Reds are making moves too…
Arsenal’s title chances weigh on Liverpool’s Isak pursuit
Something that has been very worrying for everyone other than Liverpool fans is the fact that the Reds are working to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. Arsenal were previously linked with him, but the Magpies have been adamant in their stance that Isak is not for sale.
However, if Liverpool can get a deal across the line for the Swedish international, it could propel them above Arsenal again. Last season, the Reds had the advantage over Arsenal in goals scored; they netted 86 goals compared to the Gunners’ 69.
It is fair to assume that signing Gyokeres, he could add at least 16 goals, which would catch Arsenal up to Liverpool’s goal tally. However, if Isak does sign for Liverpool, then he would surely take their tally to the next level.
Arsenal fans had better keep an eye on the Reds’ transfer business, because whether or not they sign Isak could determine whether Arsenal win the Premier League title next season or not.
