Arsenal To Target Their Second Goalkeeper

Arsenal To Target Their Second Goalkeeper

After Arsenal were linked to Mexico sensation Guillermo Ochoa, who has since signed with Barca, another rumor made the press. It appears that Molde’s Orjan Haskjold Nyland could become Szczesny’s competition for next season. According to talkSPORT, the 23 year old has been on Wenger’s radar for a really long time. The Norway international looks great on paper and also on the pitch. He has been monitored by scouts from several important European teams including the North Londoners who will need to move fast if they don’t want to be left in the lurch.

Nyland seems keen on moving to the Premier League. Even so he apparently refused Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who wanted the young keeper back in January. Moving to Cardiff City would not have been a big step forward for the Norway international who is looking to sign with a bigger team such as Arsenal.

With Fabianski leaving for Swansea, Arsenal will need to bring in someone really fast. With the World Cup already ending its group stages, there are only a few weeks before the transfer window really opens. Wenger will have to spend big as the team seems weaker and weaker. Fabianski is not the only one leaving as Sagna, Bendtner and Coquelin are also set to move. Even Vermaelen could leave Arsenal who must do something in order to avoid last season’s complicated squad situations which caused them to lose first place in the Premier League.
