Arsenal To Miss Out On Yet Another Important Target

The Gunners had high hopes when it came to buying one of the most promising youngsters Europe has to offer. Italy’s rising star, Stephan El Shaarawy who has been injured most of the season, was still on top of Wenger’s transfer list. Unfortunately, it seems that there is no chance to land the 21 year old who according to his brother is not keen on leaving Milano.

El Shaarawy who has made 63 appearances for Milan suffered a metatarsal fracture which prevented him from continuing his great performances from last season. According to talkSPORT, the Italian international who will not be available for the World Cup in Brazil, has still remained on Arsenal’s list despite his long time spent recovering from his injury.

The 21 year old would have been a great addition to Wenger’s team. He can play both as a winger and as a forward having a similar profile to that of Walcott. With Cazorla hinting towards a possible exit from the North London club, El Shaarawy seemed like the perfect replacement. Unfortunately Milan are not willing to let their rising star leave even on loan.

Arsenal were not the only ones interested in bringing in El Shaarawy. Chelsea and Napoli also looked into the possibility of grabbing the Italian. Out of the three, the Gunners would have had the biggest chances of landing Milan’s player considering the fact that the youngster is looking to become once again a team regular no matter the club.
