Arsenal To Make Early Summer Move

According to Metro, Arsenal’s interest in PSV winger Zakaria Bakkali has been confirmed, after a source close to the Dutch outfit claimed the player is rated highly by Arsene Wenger.

Regardless of the Barclays Premier League table at the end of the season, Arsenal’s campaign has been nothing but phenomenal. With just one significant addition in Mesut Ozil, the squad have pulled together to produce results on a consistent basis this season. Wenger’s master plan seems to be taking shape, but the French manager will be aware of the importance of preparation for next season. The Gunners must not rest on their laurels, and 18-year old Bakkali fits the bill for the London based club of buying younsters and develpoing them. After the departure of Gervinho in the summer, Arsenal have missed the presence of a winger who can deliver good crosses for the strikers to latch onto.

The source also claimed that Arsenal are aware of interest from other clubs, and could make an early move in the summer to beat their rivals. PSV will set a hefty price tag for the player who recently became the youngest ever player to score a hat-trick in a league match in Holland.
