Arsenal To Lose Reus To Bayern Munich

Disappointment will be big at the Emirates if Reus does not join the Gunners over the next year. Seen as a key player for Wenger’s future plans, the German international has moved away from the possiblity of joining a London club and is now probably going to join former teammates Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski at Bayern. According to TalkSport, the 25 year old forward is close to reaching a deal with the German side who look determined to secure the player’s signature. Even though Reus is currently out of form and has scored just one goal since the beginning of the season, he is still one of the most sought after players in Europe. With a buy-out clause of £30million, he would definitely be a major investment for Arsenal.

Bayern made their intentions to sign Reus public and mentioned that although they would love to have him playing for Bayern, it is still entirely up to the player to decide which way he will go.

Even though Bayern is currently one of the most powerful teams in the World, Reus might want to have the chance to regularly compete against teams like Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City. Arsenal can offer that option and can also offer a spot in Wenger’s starting eleven. With changes waiting to happen at Bayern and with Guardiola set on leaving, Wenger might still have a fighting chance to bring in Reus.
