Arsenal Tipped To Make Free Transfer Swoop For French Midfield Talent Who Thomas Tuchel “Likes A Lot”

Arsenal are considering a move for Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara as they look to take advantage of the free agent market, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish website claim the Frenchman, who can also play in defence, is one of three players (along with Norwich’s Todd Cantwell and Ajax’s Noussair Mazraoui) who could be signed when their contracts expire next summer.

Kamara is the most high profile out of the trio, and he has many admirers in the game. Back in March, French journalist Romain Canuti claimed that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was a big fan of the player, tipping the Blues to make an approach before the transfer window shut in August:

“From the information we have, there’s Chelsea who could position themselves next summer, because it’s a profile that Thomas Tuchel likes a lot. He’s kept his name in the corner of his brain. He could come back. There’s been discussions about it.”

With Chelsea not having made a move, Kamara is now likely to run down his contract with Marseille. Other clubs, including AC Milan, have been tipped to sign the 21-year-old but he could well end up at the Emirates if reports are to be believed.
