Arsenal look to continue their three game winning streak as they play against Brentford on New Year’s Day at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Gunners won 1-0 in their last game against Ipswich Town, who recently beat Chelsea 2-0 at Portman Road in what was a shock result.
Arsenal are left sat in third in the Premier League, one point behind Nottingham Forest and nine points behind league leaders Liverpool.
They play against a Brentford side who are winless in four games and come off a 0-0 draw to Brighton. They currently sit 12th in the league, 12 points behind Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta will hope that his squad can pull through despite the fact that star winger Bukayo Saka is out injured for an extended period after suffering a hamstring injury.
Other than Saka, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain ruled out for the Brentford match. However, Raheem Sterling could make a return which would be a major boost due to Saka’s injury.

Arsenal made favourites for Brentford trip
It doesn’t come as too much of a surprise that Arteta’s side are the bookmaker’s favourites for Wednesday’s evening’s match at the Gtech Community Stadium.
According to Oddschecker, Arsenal are backed to win at odds of 9/20, giving them a 69% chance to win. Brentford are backed at 13/2 (13.3%), and a draw is backed at 41/10 (19.6%).
We predict a 3-1 win for the Gunners, although they could have problems with Brentford who are fantastic at home.
