Arsenal Targets Go Down One By One

The latest player to make that list is Palermo’s Paulo Dybala. Even if Arsenal were far from having to transfer a new striker, the youngster still looked like an interesting investment for the future. With Sanogo a bit disappointing this season and with Giroud visibly affected by the injury he had to handle, adding a striker to the team does not sound that crazy. Despite the major problems present in the defense, transferring Dybala would probably not have angered anyone. According to the Mirror, the Argentinian who is now valued at £30million, will stay with the Italian side, after they managed to convince him to sign for a couple more seasons.

The 21 year old has become a primary target for several Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool. Seen as the new Aguero, Dybala will be very expensive though especially if we think about how the Sicilians handled the first time they transferred the striker. They ended up having to pay a lot of money after losing a case in court. That money will be included in the player’s price which will be increased substantially.

Arsenal will probably make a bid for Dybala only if they fail to sign any defenders. Paying £30million for a striker after just signing Sanchez and Welbeck would not be right unless the Gunners sold Podolski or Sanogo. It would not be right to sign the 21 year old either unless one or two defensive players would be brought in first.
