Arsenal Target Higuain To Slip Through To Juventus?

Arsenal could be set to lose one of their prime transfer targets for this summer, as Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly made Juventus’ list of targets for the summer, leaving the Argentine with the option of both the Italian giants and the London based club.

Arsene Wenger has been granted a hefty transfer kitty for this summer, and the club chiefs have publicly made announcements about Arsenal’s intentions of spending big to match that of the elite clubs. However, while this has excited the club’s supporters, it could very well be a bad move, as the clubs that they are dealing with are now aware of the financial muscle at hand. These clubs would hence hike up prices for the target players, or at least not give in to negotiations quicker than they normally would.

One such target that could be lost by the club is Higuain, who has been linked with a move to the club ever since he publicly announced his intentions of leaving the Spanish capital after this past season. The 25-year old is an able striker who has been on the radar for multiple clubs around Europe. Having played UEFA Champions League football on a regular basis, and with the honor of winning the Spanish title with Madrid, Higuain would have expectations from the new club he joins, and it would be up to how well these suitors can convince the striker of their ambitions. The fact remains that a club’s ambitions can only be displayed by the amount of money they spend on their transfers.

Arsenal have been struggling with the form of Gervinho, who has played limited number of games for the Gunners in the Barclays Premier League. Wenger will want to use the well-known finishing abilities of Higuain, which has helped the player score 104 goals for Madrid, having played 187 matches.

However, Arsenal will now have to prove what they promised fans, and try their best to convince Higuain to join their quest for success in the league and Europe alike.

According to Metro, Juventus director – Guiseppe Marotta confirmed, “Higuain remains a target for Juventus. I do not want to say anything more because there is still so much time left for things to happen.”
