Arsenal Target Chilean Winger Eduardo Vargas

Arsenal Target Chilean Winger Eduardo Vargas

Arsenal have been more active than ever in the transfer market. Wenger made some important changes, some of which have already paid off considering the fact that the Gunners have won their second trophy of the year after a decade long drought. With the Community Shield secured Arsenal’s boss is now looking forward to the season to come. With all new acquisitions except Ospina looking great on the pitch, some transfers are still in place if the North Londoners are looking to keep up with Chelsea, Liverpool, United and City for an entire season. According to Metro, Wenger might bring in Chilean forward, Eduardo Vargas. The 24 year old who spent last season on loan with Valencia, has returned to Napoli who could be keen on letting the winger leave for good.

Vargas’s struggle to make it in Serie A has not been successful, considering the fact that Napoli sent him on loan for two years in a row. After an excellent World Cup campaign, the 24 year old seems set on finding a team for which he will play regularly for the next couple of years. His ability to cover three positions might be tempting for Wenger who has yet to solve all of his squad problems. Vargas who is normally a right winger, could represent an excellent solution for filling the left side of the pitch as well. He can play as a second striker behind Giroud, he can cover for Alexis Sanchez or he can be a long term choice for the left wing which has yet to find its rightful owner.
