Arsenal are rumored to have an offer lined up for 20 year old rising star Aleksandar Mitrovic. The Serbian international who made his international debut when he was only 18 has made quite the impression since leaving Partizan to join Anderlecht. In 77 appearances he scored 36 goals and managed 11 assists which is impressive considering he signed with the Belgian side just 2 years back. According to the Daily Express Arsenal will have to compete with Liverpool for the youngster’s signature who is valued at around £7million. Brendan Rodgers is in desperate need of a striker which might give him the edge over the Gunners. Even though Wenger could be the manager to get the best out of Mitrovic, it will be hard for the Frenchman to promise the 20 year old a chance at being a first choice for the starting squad.

Liverpool on the other hand already have a half empty spot filled in by Balotelli and an on and off team regular which is Sterling. Mitrovic would have bigger chances at Anfield than at the Emirates where both Welbeck and Giroud have shown great form. The only way the Serbia International will accept to come to London would be to run on overconfidence. Even though very young he showed a lot of character and determination on and off the pitch. He could be so sure he is better than Arsenal’s two strikers that he might just consider the Gunners’ offer. With his contract set to expire in 2018, negotiations will probably begin at the end of this season.
