Arsenal Target 21 Year Old Premier League Rising Star

Arsenal are ready to spend half of their transfer budget on 21 year old Tyrone Mings. Currently under contract with Ipswich, the youngster has had a fluctuating career up until now. According to the Daily Mail he had to make his way through the upper part of the English Championship after losing contact with the Premier League. Fortunately for him, he is now one of the most sought after defenders in the UK. He has managed to attract attention not only from the Emirates but also from Everton and Newcastle. Sent away by Southampton back in the day when Oxlade-Chamberlain was making his debut as well, Mings is now valued at £10million which is quite the improvement.

If Wenger really wants to sign the 21 year old, it means he will spend almost half of Arsenal’s transfer budget. This might be a risk worth taking despite the variations in form shown by the player. He seems to have a bright future in front of him. Developing a player like Mings could be an excellent solution for the Gunners who are currently lacking the strength in depth. The center back who can also perform on the left side of the pitch is under contract with Ipswich Town until 2017. With the right offer, Wenger could bring him to Emirates this winter and could give him the chance to perform at the highest level possible for the rest of the season.
